Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial purchasing
- Epicor Prophet 21 ERP or something similar
- Ordering Inventory and MRO items (Shipping, Shop, Raw materials)
- Familiarity with ERP Replenishment settings
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced purchasing specialist with 3-5 years procurement experience and a strong background in Epicor Prophet 21 ERP systems. The ideal candidate will manage the procurement of inventory items, materials and supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensuring on-time delivery to support operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute purchase orders in accordance with company policies, supplier agreements, and demand forecasts using Epicor P21 and Supplemental SQL reports.
- Monitor inventory levels and generate POs to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Track order status, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and order data in Epicor P21.
- Collaborate with internal departments (sales, operations, production) to meet material requirements.
- Communicate regularly with vendors to manage lead times, resolve issues, and negotiate pricing or delivery terms.
- Prepare and analyze purchasing reports to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review and adjust replenishment settings to maintain optimal inventory levels with cost efficient purchasing
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a industrial setting
- Strong proficiency with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) or similar ERP system
- Working knowledge of purchasing best practices, vendor negotiation, and inventory management
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Fluid Power industry
- Familiarity with lean purchasing or continuous improvement methodologies.
