Lagos Dental Centre, a new dental practice opening in Olney, MD, is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our founding team. We offer comprehensive and implant dentistry in a modern, technology-driven office.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentist with restorative, cosmetic, implant, and comprehensive dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms per infection control standards
- Take digital radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral scans
- Chairside dental assisting during exams and procedures
- Educate patients on treatment plans and oral hygiene
- Maintain clinical supplies and inventory
- Support front-of-house and clinical workflow as a founding team member
Qualifications
- Dental Assistant certified (required)
- 2+ year of dental assisting experience (3-5 yrs) preferred; new grads with strong fundamentals and a desire to learn are welcome to apply
- Experience with digital radiography and intraoral scanners a plus
- Experience with implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, or Invisalign a plus
- EFDA certification a plus
- Strong communication skills and patient-focused attitude
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment
