Duties
- Assist lead plumbers with pipe installation, fitting, and assembly using hand tools and power tools
- Support the setup and teardown of plumbing systems according to blueprints and schematics
- Maintain power tool safety standards during all tasks and handle hand tools with precision
- Aid in mechanical tasks required for plumbing projects
- Participate in construction site activities including remodeling, maintenance, and system troubleshooting
- Follow building code compliance guidelines to ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
- Assist with plumbing system maintenance and repair to ensure optimal operation of installed systems
Qualifications
- Construction experience or familiarity with construction site environments preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, pipe installation, and mechanical concepts
- Experience with welding, pipe threading, and using power tools safely is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Strong understanding of building code compliance related to plumbing and HVAC systems
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing system maintenance and repair
- Handyman experience or background in remodeling can be advantageous
- Good basic math skills for measurements and calculations involved in pipe fitting
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and diagrams effectively
- Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills
