Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, and performing repairs to uphold the highest standards of safety, comfort, and functionality for our guests and staff. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, lighting, and building structures to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety compliance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues promptly to minimize guest disruption.
- Conduct residential painting, welding, and other repair tasks as needed to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the property.
- Read schematics and technical manuals to diagnose system faults accurately; utilize tools such as ohmmeters and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for diagnostics.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, including upgrades or renovations, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and asset management.
- Lead or support team members in supervising maintenance tasks while promoting a safety-first culture across the facility.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality or residential environments.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting circuits, wiring diagrams, schematics, and using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems.
- Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting to handle diverse repair needs.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking.
- Excellent supervisory skills with leadership experience in managing maintenance teams or projects.
- Effective communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly.
