Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Overnight (Homemaker Personal Care)
BrightHands Homecare Services LLC is hiring immediately for an overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide support to a 15-year-old individual in Centerville, OH (45458).
Start Date: ASAP – Immediate Opening
Schedule
- Sunday–Thursday
- 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM
About the Position
This overnight position involves supporting a 15-year-old individual in his home while ensuring his health, safety, and comfort throughout the night. The individual enjoys music and spending time outdoors but will typically be sleeping during the shift.
Responsibilities
- Monitor for seizure activity and follow established seizure protocols.
- Provide visual and auditory supervision throughout the night.
- Assist with toileting and other personal care needs as required.
- Provide overnight and early morning G-tube feedings.
- Administer medications as delegated and permitted by certification.
- Assist with mobility using a wheelchair and gait belt.
- Complete accurate EVV documentation and report any changes in the individual's condition.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Pass BCI/FBI background checks.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Med Cert 1 required or willingness to obtain.
- Experience with G-tube feedings, seizure care, medication administration, wheelchair transfers, and gait belt assistance is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or complex medical needs is preferred.
- Dependable, compassionate, attentive, and comfortable working overnight shifts.
