Front Desk Coordinator / Customer Service Representative
We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and dependable Front Desk Coordinator/Customer Service Representative to join our veterinary team. This position is people-focused first and foremost and requires someone who genuinely cares about the needs of our clients and their pets.
As the first point of contact for our practice, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while helping support the daily operations of our busy veterinary hospital. This role includes a combination of front desk responsibilities, administrative duties, and hands-on assistance within the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
- Perform accurate and efficient data entry
- Obtain and record patient medical histories
- Assist the veterinarian and support staff as needed
- Run in-house laboratory tests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients and their pets
- Assist with other clinic duties and daily operations as needed
Qualifications
- Previous receptionist, customer service, or client care experience preferred
- Veterinary or medical office experience is a plus
- Knowledge of veterinary and/or medical terminology preferred
- Strong computer skills with quick and accurate data entry abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, caring, and helpful attitude
- Strong work ethic and willingness to be a team player
- Comfortable working hands-on with animals and not afraid to get dirty
