Buffalo Homecare is Seeking a registered nurse to support our Home IV infusion patients with medication administration, education and focused nursing assesments. Majority focus on IVIG and Biolsimilar therapies. The Infusion Nurse position would require you travel within the Buffalo and Western New York areas to deliver care in the patient's home. We cover Erie County and all adjacent counties. It would also require occasional visits to our Scajaquada St. office in Buffalo, NY.
This is a great opportunity to be on the cutting edge of a growing Infusion business, while maintaining a flexible schedule at a nice change of pace from hospital or facility care.

Infusion Nurse Duties:
- Insert, access and care for Peripheral IV lines, Mediports, Central Lines, and Sub-q Injections
- Perform IV and/or subcutaneous Medication Administration as directed under the physician’s order.
- Perform nursing assessments, patient education and document progress per protocol.
- Prepare and execute patient Plan of Care.
- Recognizes and understands the patient caregiver relationship and provides for the emotional and physical comfort and safety of clients.
- Prepares clinical and progress notes and return documentation in timely fashion.
- Communicate with specialty compounding pharmacies and perscribing physicians on an as needed basis.
- Assist with monitoring and ordering patient supplies as needed.
Infusion Nurse Conditions:
- Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing in English is required.
- Physical activities will include walking, sitting, stooping.
- Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the client’s condition and to perform client care.
- Must have reliable transportation and ability to use technology/apps.
Qualifications:
- Must have experiences inserting peripheral IV lines and/or accessing Mediports.
- NY State Registered Nursing License
- Experience in a home health agency setting preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- Valid Driver's License
Schedule: Our nurses enjoy a flexible schedule. We hire our staff as 1099 employees (benefits available for nurses who work 40hours weekly) with no minimum hour or weekend requirements. This allows our nurses to set their own hours/availability. We have nurses who enjoy working 40 hours a week, 10 hours a week, weekends and evenings only, or have varying availability week to week. We value work-life balance and want our nurses to feel supported and empowered.
