Position Overview
As a Youth Soccer Head Coach, you will play a key role in developing players while helping shape the culture and coaching standards of our growing club.
You will lead training sessions, coach competitive matches, mentor young athletes, communicate with families, and work alongside other coaches to create a positive, challenging, and professional learning environment.
Responsibilities
As a Youth Soccer Head Coach, you will:
- Design and deliver structured, engaging training sessions aligned with the UCFC player development methodology.
- Guide the long-term technical, tactical, physical, psychological, and social development of each player.
- Coach league matches, tournaments, camps, and club events.
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive individual feedback.
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and supportive learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with players, parents, and fellow coaches through clear and professional communication.
- Collaborate with club leadership to continually improve coaching standards and player development.
- Represent UCFC professionally both on and off the field.
Required Qualifications
- Previous youth soccer coaching experience.
- Strong understanding of long-term player development.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire young athletes.
- Professional attitude with strong organizational skills.
- Passion for coaching, teaching, and continuous learning.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- USSF, UEFA, or equivalent coaching license (C License or higher preferred).
- Experience coaching competitive youth soccer, travel teams, academy programs, or elite environments.
- Competitive playing experience.
- Experience developing players across multiple age groups.
- Multilingual abilities are highly valued.

Compensation
We offer competitive compensation based on coaching license, experience, qualifications, and responsibilities.
Typical hourly range: $30.00–$40.00
Exceptional candidates with advanced coaching licenses, professional playing backgrounds, or significant leadership experience may be considered for compensation above the posted range.
Additional coaching opportunities may be available through camps, clinics, private training, tournaments, and future club programs.

Schedule
This position primarily includes:
- Evening weekday training sessions
- Weekend league matches and tournaments
- Seasonal camps and special events
- Occasional coaching meetings and administrative responsibilities
Flexible scheduling is available based on experience, availability, and assigned teams.
Work Environment
This is an on-site coaching position based in Manhattan, New York.
The role involves outdoor and indoor training and match environments throughout the year, including varying weather conditions. Coaches should be comfortable actively participating during training sessions, standing for extended periods, and demonstrating soccer activities when appropriate.
