Commercial Real Estate Bookkeeper
About the Position
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills and hands-on experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization.

The company oversees multiple entities, projects, and operating platforms with an active accounting department and property management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage Accounts Payable (AP), including vendor invoices, payment processing, and owner distributions.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including tenant and customer invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Review transactions for accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal team members regarding accounting matters.
- Support management with financial reporting and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4+ years of bookkeeping, commercial real estate experience preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Yardi accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with multiple bank accounts and entities.
Pay: From $28.85 per hour
