Starting Salary: $120,000/year, with higher compensation available based on experience
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee custom electrical equipment projects from initial requirements through engineering, production, testing, shipment, and closeout. This role leads cross-functional coordination, customer communication, scheduling, and project execution.
- Manage projects through engineering, procurement, production, testing, shipment, and closeout.
- Serve as the main customer contact throughout the project.
- Coordinate with sales, application and design engineering, supply chain, production, quality, and logistics teams.
- Create and maintain project schedules, milestones, and action items.
- Establish delivery timelines based on material availability and production capacity.
- Lead project kickoff meetings and track follow-up items.
- Manage customer change requests, engineering changes, and related schedule impacts.
- Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), documentation packages, and shipment readiness.
- Identify project risks and lead corrective actions.
- Maintain project reports, schedule updates, and on-time delivery metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing, electrical equipment, or electromechanical environments.
- Experience with engineered-to-order or custom manufacturing projects.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, order management, and long-lead material coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Experience working with engineering, supply chain, production, and quality teams.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and project scheduling tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
- Strong communication, organization, and customer management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Experience with switchgear, PDCs, RPPs, STS, or UPS systems.
- PMP certification or active pursuit of certification.
- Knowledge of UL, NEC, ANSI, or related electrical standards.
- Experience coordinating FATs and customer witness testing.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
