Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning using hand tools and power equipment
- Operate groundskeeping machinery such as lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, blowers, and snow blowers safely and efficiently
- Support irrigation system installation, inspection, and repairs to ensure healthy plant growth and water efficiency
- Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests to support horticultural health and pest management efforts
- Follow all safety protocols rigorously during outdoor work activities to maintain a secure environment for yourself and team members
- Perform routine grounds inspections to identify maintenance needs or hazards and report them promptly
- Contribute to seasonal tasks like snow shoveling or leaf removal to keep outdoor areas accessible and attractive
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and power tools operation
- Experience with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, edging, planting, and pruning
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles and plant identification techniques
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Outdoor work experience demonstrating stamina and adaptability across various weather conditions
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols
