Summer Healthcare Internship for EMTs & Nursing Students (San Diego Area)

Padres Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring Camp Nurse / EMT Staff to provide on-site medical care and health supervision for youth camps throughout San Diego County.
This is a unique opportunity to build hands-on patient care experience in a fast-paced, outdoor environment while working with youth.
- Ideal for EMTs, nursing students, pre-med, and healthcare majors

Gain real experience in first aid, injury response, and patient care

Build your resume for medical school, nursing programs, or EMT careers

Develop clinical decision-making skills in a real-world setting

Monday–Friday schedule (no nights or overnight shifts)
- Provide first aid and basic medical care to campers and staff
-
Respond to injuries, illnesses, and health-related incidents

Manage medications and allergies (including EpiPens)
-
Maintain accurate medical and incident reports

Communicate with parents regarding health concerns

Conduct daily health checks and monitor camper well-being

Ensure a safe and proactive health environment
- EMTs, nursing students, pre-med students, or healthcare professionals

Must be CPR/AED and First Aid certified

Strong interest in healthcare, medicine, or patient care

Comfortable working independently in a camp setting

Experience working with children is a plus (not required)

Responsible, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented
- Monday–Friday (~8-hour days)
