Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personalized care. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, monitoring health conditions, and creating a safe, comfortable environment for clients across various care settings.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Support patients with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods.
- Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions to ensure safety and well-being; report any changes promptly.
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary plans and assist with meal consumption as needed.
- Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, medication administration, and progress notes.
- Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings while ensuring safety during travel.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and autism support is advantageous.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is beneficial.
- Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement is essential.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
