Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers.
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.
- Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Transport automobile parts or other freight while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations for commercial truck driving.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delivery schedules, or safety issues.
Qualifications
- At the moment, our main requirements are:
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum 3 months of CDL-A experience
- Previous experience driving 53-foot trailer trucks
- Acceptable driving record (MVR)
- Valid DOT medical card
- Verifiable employment history
- Pass the required background check and drug test
- Responsibility, punctuality, and good communication
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and trucks with manual handling requirements confidently.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient delivery execution.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, freight management, and delivery driving best practices.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence.
