Key Expectations: Quick Key Locksmith is looking for a Store & Field Tech Locksmith for our Elk Grove Village location. Here are six key expectations for this role.
· MECHANICAL: Ability to trouble-shoot dispatch calls, lock-outs, and/or transferable skills via mechanical aptitude. We are willing to train a technician with a passion to learn the trade.
· LEARNING: Must have a natural willingness and enthusiasm to learn – technical, communication, sales, services, products, and computer applications (POS software and digital).
· TIME + TASKS: Excellent time management and project/task management skills. Punctuality and stable attendance history.
· SERVICE: Excellent customer service skills – sales experience is a plus.
· COLLABORATION: Excellent collaboration skills, working closely with our Chicago-based owners managers, and leads as well as office, dispatch, field tech, and store tech employees.
· COMMUNICATION: Excellent verbal and written communication, following up as needed. Comfort with digital applications for field communications.
Responsibilities Overview:
- Retail store and customer service
- Field tech calls in surrounding area
- POS, credit card, and cash handling
- Inventory control, tracking, and support
- Purchasing – research, parts, tracking
- Cut keys for customers
- Make recommendations to customers (sales)
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday: 1pm - 9pm / Saturday: 9am to 5pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
