Position Summary
The Part-Time Music Teacher will provide music instruction that encourages student participation, creativity, and confidence. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, creating engaging activities, and helping students explore music through singing, rhythm, movement, and basic music concepts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons for students
- Teach basic music concepts, rhythm, movement, and music appreciation
- Create a fun, structured, and positive classroom environment
- Encourage student participation and confidence
- Prepare students for school performances or events when applicable
- Maintain classroom organization and materials
- Collaborate with staff and administration
Qualifications
- Preferred degree in Music Education, Music, or related field
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Creative, dependable, and engaging personality
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and administration
