Cost Accountant – Manufacturing | Northeast Iowa
Arlemax is partnered with a growing, multi-site manufacturing organization in Northeast Iowa seeking a Cost Accountant to support operational performance and financial decision-making across multiple facilities.
This is a high-visibility role working closely with the Corporate Controller locally and reporting to the CFO. If you enjoy digging into ERP data, analyzing manufacturing costs, and helping leadership understand where money is being made (or lost), this role has real impact.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze manufacturing and labor costs across multiple sites
- Identify cost variances and opportunities for operational efficiency
- Extract ERP data and develop actionable reporting tools for leadership
- Lead and support month-end close processes
- Balance and analyze inventory
- Calculate company-wide profit margins
- Partner with operations leadership to improve cost performance
- Support ERP onboarding and optimization

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
- Strong ERP experience
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
- Ability to translate ERP data into useful financial insights
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with finance and operations teams
Work Environment
- On-site role in Northeast Iowa
- Standard hours 8:00 – 4:40 (flexible start times up to 9:00 AM)
- Collaborative environment with corporate finance leadership
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
