Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Flooring Sales Specialist, where your passion for design and customer service will transform spaces and inspire clients. In this energetic role, you will leverage your expertise in flooring products, renovation projects, and interior design to guide customers through the selection process, ensuring they find the perfect solutions for their homes. Duties
- Engage with customers both inside the store and through outside sales efforts to understand their flooring needs and preferences
- Provide expert guidance on product selection, including hardwood, tile, carpet, and specialty flooring options.
- Conduct product demonstrations and showcase features such as lighting design compatibility and maintenance requirements to enhance customer understanding
- Assist clients with remodeling projects by offering comprehensive solutions that incorporate interior design principles and renovation strategies
- Upsell premium products and complementary services by identifying customer needs during the sales process
- Manage account relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and account management techniques to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing stock, maintaining product displays, and implementing marketing strategies to attract new customers
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or high-end sales environments with a focus on flooring or renovation products
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with organizational abilities to manage multiple client accounts effectively
- Solid understanding of construction, remodeling, interior design, and maintenance processes within residential or commercial projects
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, retail math, and merchandising practices
- Exceptional communication skills in English; additional languages are advantageous
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements, pricing, and product demos
- Experience with marketing strategies to promote products and increase sales opportunities
Required Skills:
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Organization and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Sales experience is a plus.
- Experience with 2020 design is preferred but not a requirement.
