The primary role of the Early Childhood Specialist (ECS) is to provide services to Great Start Readiness (GSRP) staff in local school districts, public school academies, and community programs for at risk 4-year olds, including developmental screening and child assessment, Program Quality Assessment-Revised (PQAR), professional development and collaborative consultation with staff, agency personnel, and administrators.
DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO: Assistant Superintendent for Instruction/Chief Academic Officer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development required.

A valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a ZA/ZS endorsement preferred.

A Bachelor’s Degree in education, child development or related field.

Demonstrate ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and constituents both individually and as members of teams.

Must pass criminal background check as required by School Safety Legislation.
