Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 5th Grade Math Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love for mathematics. In this role, you will internalize REVEAL lesson plans, implement curriculum standards, and support students’ academic growth through innovative teaching strategies. Duties
- Design and deliver dynamic math lessons aligned with curriculum standards tailored to diverse learning styles
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate educational technology and differentiated instruction techniques
- Monitor student progress through assessments, quizzes, and standardized testing data analysis to identify areas for improvement
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies to create a respectful and productive learning environment
- Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and student support initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents about student performance, progress, and behavioral updates through meetings and written reports
- Incorporate special education strategies when working with students with diverse needs, including those with autism or requiring early intervention support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field; teaching certification for elementary education preferred
- Proven experience teaching 5th grade mathematics in a classroom setting with demonstrated success in student achievement
- Strong knowledge of math curriculum implementation, learning technology integration, and educational compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and student engagement
- Ability to adapt lessons to accommodate various learning styles and developmental needs of young children
- Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is highly desirable
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques, literacy education, and behavior management strategies
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and student performance data analysis methods
