Overview
We are seeking a skilled Revit Duct Design/Fabrication Draftsman to join our engineering and construction team. This role involves creating detailed ductwork models and fabrication drawings using advanced CAD software, supporting the design and installation of HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, drafting, and construction documentation, with proficiency in various CAD tools and 3D modeling software. Duties
- Develop accurate ductwork models and fabrication drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and other CAD platforms
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret schematics, mechanical designs, and construction plans
- Utilize NavisWorks and SolidWorks for integrated project visualization and coordination
- Generate detailed schematics and 2D/3D drawings for fabrication and installation purposes
- Assist in reviewing design models for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project specifications
- Support the creation of construction documentation including layouts, sections, and details
- Participate in project meetings to provide technical input on ductwork fabrication and installation processes
- Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards and client requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Revit and AutoCAD for mechanical or ductwork design
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, duct fabrication processes, and construction practices
- Skilled in drafting schematics, technical drawings, and 2D/3D modeling
- Familiarity with CAD standards, building codes, and industry best practices
- Ability to interpret mechanical schematics and construction documents accurately
- Experience with 3D visualization tools such as NavisWorks for project coordination
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Prior experience in mechanical design or construction drafting is preferred
