Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. In this role, you will serve as the frontline representative, engaging with customers to provide exceptional service while promoting our products and services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in retail sales, banking, and financial services, combined with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products or services that meet their needs
- Process transactions accurately using cash registers and financial software systems
- Handle cash management duties, including cash handling, cashiering, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Support loan processing procedures by providing information and assisting with documentation as needed
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of retail products, financial services, and current promotions to effectively inform customers
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions, discounts, and pricing adjustments using 10 key typing skills and retail math principles
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding cash handling and security protocols
- Assist in inventory management by organizing displays and restocking shelves as necessary
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and improve overall store performance
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service roles preferred; experience in banking or financial services is a plus
- Proficiency in basic math, including retail math and cash management calculations
- Familiarity with financial software applications used for sales processing and record keeping
- Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately under time constraints
- Strong communication skills with a professional demeanor
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Basic understanding of loan processing procedures is advantageous
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in finance or sales is beneficial
