Required to work all school breaks, holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Please do not apply if you are not available to work on holidays, school breaks and all through the summer.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dog Boarding Attendant to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and happiness of our guests. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who have a passion for animals and customer service.
Duties
- Supervise and monitor dogs during play times to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks. This requires heavy lifting 40 plus pounds of mop buckets, and kennels.
- Monitor behavior and health, promptly reporting any concerns to the management team.
- Intuitive, able to adapt to stressful and busy times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in kennel work, veterinary care, or dog handling would be a great asset
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, all holidays and school breaks. Working on all holidays is required including working Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
- Ability to work with potentially people reactive dogs, as well as dog aggressive dogs
Room for growth and management positions. Takes at least six months to one year to completely master this position depending on experience.
