This contract opportunity is located near Windsor Mill, MD, and is ideal for professionals seeking a flexible, part-time schedule. You’ll play a vital role in helping students with IEPs reach their communication goals in a supportive and collaborative environment.
In this role, you’ll work 24–29 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility on most days—except Wednesdays—to best accommodate your preferences. The position runs from ASAP through June 25, 2026, and continues with the next academic year starting July 6, 2026, through June 17, 2027. The caseload includes approximately 25 students, primarily high school-aged, ranging from grades 3–12.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state licensure required
- Prior experience within a school setting, preferably with students in special education
- Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans for individuals with emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges
- Familiarity with IEPs and written documentation for compliance and progress monitoring
- Collaborative, flexible, and compassionate mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy to students ages 8–21
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to comprehensive planning for each learner
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to address each student’s unique needs
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and service delivery
