We are seeking adaptable and collaborative Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our outpatient endoscopy team in Seattle. This role delivers end-to-end perioperative patient care, spanning pre-op, intra-procedure, and PACU recovery. You will work closely with physicians during endoscopic procedures, monitor patient vitals and sedation, and provide critical discharge education.
This is a long-term contract assignment (1,041 hours / approx. 6 months) with a stable, highly desirable schedule. There are currently 5 openings available.
Role Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) - Pre-Op/PACU
Setting: Outpatient Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
Location: Seattle, WA (On-site)
Schedule: 4x10 Schedule, Monday-Friday (No call, no nights, and no holidays)
Compensation: $40.00 - $56.65 per hour (Dependent on experience)
End-to-End Care: Perform comprehensive assessment, planning, treatment, and evaluation of patients across pre-op, procedure rooms, and PACU recovery.
Procedure Assistance: Support physicians during endoscopic procedures while maintaining strict aseptic techniques and surgical protocols.
Patient Monitoring: Closely monitor patient vitals, sedation levels, and immediate responses to ensure safety and high-quality care.
Discharge & Education: Educate patients and their families regarding surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and post-care instructions.
Licensure: Active, unrestricted Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Certification Flex: ACLS and PALS certifications from the AHA are required, but they can be completed anytime before permanent conversion.
Clinical Background: 1+ years of dedicated Pre-Op or PACU nursing experience.
Setting: Prior experience working within an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
Specialty Exposure: Previous experience with endoscopy procedures is preferred but not required (training is available for strong perioperative candidates).
Core Competencies: Strong foundational knowledge of surgical patient care management; ability to adapt rapidly to changing clinical conditions; and exceptional communication skills with patients, physicians, and staff.
