Job Overview
Need nurse to work in pre/post op recovery room at as surgery center that mainly does cataract surgery. And other eye surgeries. Also circulating nurse in OR. Usually one day a week.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to inform care plans.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and catheterizations.
- Provide emergency response support including airway management, first aid, CPR.
- Document all patient interactions meticulously using EMR/EHR systems while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning strategies and coordinate post-acute care services.
Experience
- Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, or outpatient clinics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation.
- Critical care experience including ICU or emergency medicine settings is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges enhances your ability to deliver personalized patient-centered care
- Circulating nurse in OR mainly cataract susrgery.
