Duties
- Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately during retail transactions, including scanning items, processing payments, and issuing receipts
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product information or store navigation
- Conduct product demos when applicable to enhance customer experience and promote featured items or new arrivals
- Handle cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at shift end
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining organized displays to support sales initiatives
- Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while respecting customer preferences
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Qualifications
- Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash register operations accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly and confidently
- Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and inventory stocking practices is beneficial
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy retail environment while maintaining attention to detail
