Position Summary
The HR Manager supports HR operations for clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, managing credentialing, and fostering a positive workplace aligned with our commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, changes, offboarding
- Support credentialing and licensing compliance for clinical staff
- Maintain accurate HRIS records following legal requirements
- Administer benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans
- Collaborate with payroll and finance for accurate employee data
- Provide HR policy and compliance guidance to employees and leaders
- Assist with employee relations, investigations, and performance documentation
- Support performance reviews and compensation processes
- Participate in audits and regulatory reporting (OSHA, CMS, EEOC)
- Stay current on healthcare HR compliance (HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, wage laws)
- Help drive employee engagement and recognition programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Healthcare Admin, or related field preferred
- 2–4 years HR experience, ideally in healthcare or medical group
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance and healthcare employment regulations
- Experience with credentialing and onboarding
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented, discreet, and organized

Location requirement: This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Pismo Beach office, with regular presence across our San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria locations as needed. Candidates must either currently reside within commuting distance of California's Central Coast or be willing and able to relocate to the area before their start date. Relocation assistance is not guaranteed and would be discussed individually if offered. This role is not eligible for remote work.
