Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and oversee comprehensive safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations, and other applicable laws.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate safety training sessions, including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), first aid, OSHA compliance, and occupational health protocols for all employees.
- Maintain detailed safety records, prepare report writing documentation, and ensure accurate documentation of incidents, inspections, and compliance activities.
- Stay current with evolving industry standards related to EHS (Environmental Health & Safety), workers' compensation law, and manufacturing safety practices.
- Collaborate with management to foster a culture of continuous improvement in safety performance through training & development initiatives.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, occupational health principles, and workers’ compensation law.
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on safety program implementation.
- Strong ability to conduct root cause analysis and report writing for incident investigations.
- Certifications in CPR, first aid, OSHA compliance, and EHS management are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and promote safety awareness across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to analyze complex safety data and develop actionable recommendations for improvement.
