Job Description: Commercial Building Cleaner
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Commercial Building Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment for employees, tenants, and visitors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows cleaning procedures, and is committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize offices, common areas, restrooms, break rooms, and other assigned spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, and fixtures.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, light switches, and shared equipment.
- Restock restroom and kitchen supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Clean windows, glass doors, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Safely use and maintain cleaning equipment and chemicals according to company policies.
- Follow all health, safety, and security procedures.
- Lock and secure designated areas after cleaning when required.
- Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull cleaning carts and equipment.
- Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
