Job Summary
Medical Professionals is seeking an experienced Float Certified Medical Assistant to support multiple outpatient clinics throughout the Atlanta area. This role is ideal for a flexible, team-oriented Medical Assistant who enjoys working in a variety of clinical settings while delivering exceptional patient care. Training will take place for approximately 5 weeks in Stone Mountain, GA before floating to other clinic locations.
Schedule and Pay
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Location: Training in Stone Mountain, GA; Float position supporting clinics throughout Atlanta, GA
- Pay: $19.00–$22.00 per hour
- 2 years of experience: Starting at $19+/hour
- 5 years of experience: Up to $22/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures.
- Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and other clinical information.
- Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Perform basic laboratory testing and collect patient specimens.
- Schedule patient appointments and help manage daily patient flow.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate medical records while following patient safety and confidentiality guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- National Medical Assistant certification AND diploma.
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
- 2–3 years of experience in Family Medicine, Primary Care, or Pediatrics.
- Ability to travel between clinic locations throughout the Atlanta area after training.
- Completion of required onboarding, including physical exam, TB test, background check, drug screening, immunization records, and training program.
