Role Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development and Sales, the Customer Relationship Manager becomes the central connector between our sales team and operations. You’ll champion the customer experience—strengthening existing accounts while actively uncovering and pursuing new business opportunities through both inside and outside outreach.
This role is ideal for an outgoing, inquisitive professional who thrives on building relationships, asking smart questions, and translating customer needs into actionable solutions. You’ll prepare tailored quotes, maintain accurate customer and sales data, and deliver consistently exceptional service. You’ll also lead customer review calls, respond to inquiries with urgency and insight, and take on additional initiatives that support our growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Account stewardship — nurture existing relationships and ensure customers feel supported, informed, and valued
- New business development — identify opportunities, engage prospects, and drive revenue through proactive outreach
- Cross‑functional coordination — act as the bridge between sales and operations to ensure seamless execution
- Customer quoting — prepare accurate, timely quotes aligned with service capabilities
- Data management — maintain CRM and internal databases with precision
- Customer review calls — lead structured conversations to assess performance, uncover needs, and strengthen partnerships
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in sales or operations within a 3PL freight‑forwarding environment
- Experience in ocean, air, ground, brokerage, or warehousing is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is an asset
- Knowledge of air and ocean transatlantic services to the U.S. is an advantage
- Willingness to travel as needed
