Civil/Structural Engineer Job Description:
1. Facilitate ACS-based building system design, startups & commissioning activities.
2. Provide subject matter expert assistance in review of product and equipment submittals, shop drawings, engineering design drawings and specifications, & contractor generated RFIs. 3. Extensive knowledge of safety procedures, safe work practices, and OSHA requirements for ACS installations including but not limited to prefabricated building, stick built, truss, raised mezzanines, press foundations, metal wall panels, steel and concrete columns, slab on grade, industrial finished, office/café finishes.
4. Possess extensive knowledge of prevailing building codes and professional industry standards (including but not limited to: IBC, NFPA, ASME, AMCA, ARI, AWS, FM).
5. Work with building construction contractors and equipment vendors to coordinate steel detailing and inspection, delivery, installation, shake out, erection & handover to end users.
6. Coordination of weekend and plant shutdown work with contractors, plant facilities groups, & manufacturing shops.
7. Conduct work progress inspections on a continuous basis.
8. Support construction administration activities related to schedule coordination, quality confirmations, weekly coordination meetings, and planned utility outages.
9. Conduct inspections and observations of electrical building systems for compliance with project specifications, quality standards, & applicable codes.
10. Oversee work of foundation, steel and general contractors for adherence to project delivery methods, schedule milestone targets, & coordination with other groups.
11. Prepare field engineering status reports of work progress and schedule to Project Managers.
12. Provide input and feedback to improve project technical specifications and standards.
13. Ability to effectively communicate technical matters in written & verbal formats.
14. Ability to multi-task, manage time, & prioritize project commitments based on established deadlines and project milestones.
Civil/Structural Engineer Required Qualifications:
1. 5 to 10 years of experience
2. Bachelor’s In Engineering- Major in Structural/ Civil Engineering
3. 2+ years in construction management.
4. Experience in design criteria development for ACS systems.
5. Automotive experience with engine, transmission, or vehicle facilities or similar industrial manufacturer.
6. 5+ years in structural design/installation field.
7. Good organizational skills, communication skills, schedule management skills.
8. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Teams

Pay: $40.00 - $49.00 per hour
