WillowWood Global LLC of Mt Sterling, OH is seeking to hire a full-time Prosthetic Technician to join a team responsible for the assembly and fabrication of prosthetic devices - custom designed devices that help amputees. Essential Responsibilities:
- Running the Omega Carvers
- Making various prosthetic devices (check sockets, laminations, foam covers, pelite liners, etc.)
- Responsible for taking an order from start to finish in timely manner and according to our lead times.
- Responsible for following and maintaining various departmental procedures including inventory, cleaning, maintenance, safety equipment.
Essential Skills Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent GED
- Ability to read and write
- Basic mathematical skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to keep up in a fast pace environment
- Must be able to work well in a team oriented environment
- Must be able to communicate with his/her coworkers
- Prosthetic technician experience or knowledge of the prosthetic industry is a plus
- Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools (saws, grinders, drills, etc...)
Physical Demands of the Job:
The minimum physical requirements needed to perform this job include:
1. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb 2/3 of the time.
2. Ability to use hands, fingers and arms over 2/3 of the time
3. Ability to talk and hear on a regular basis
4. Ability to lift 10 pounds over 2/3 of the time and 25 - 50 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
5. Vision ability including both close and distance vision, ability to distinguish colors and ability to bring them into focus.
