Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Builder to join our woodworking team. This role focuses on building high-quality custom cabinets from start to finish, including reading shop drawings, assembling components, and ensuring precision craftsmanship. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, values accuracy, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Build custom cabinets and millwork from shop drawings and production plans
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and fixture details
- Cut, assemble, and construct cabinet components with accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and project specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
- Identify and resolve build or fit issues during production
- Assist with equipment upkeep and basic maintenance as needed
- Support a strong workplace safety culture
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of woodworking hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical plans
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to changing project priorities and schedules
- Experience with CNC or CAD systems is a plus
- Must have reliable transportation and consistent, dependable attendance
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift materials up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Frequent handling of lumber, sheet goods, and cabinet components
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day
- Repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements
