Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Electrician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including high-voltage and low-voltage wiring in commercial and industrial environments.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installations and repairs.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical issues swiftly.
- Perform electrical diagnostics to pinpoint faults within complex electrical systems, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Comply with all safety procedures including NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements to maintain a safe work environment.
- Work on high-voltage electrical wiring projects while adhering to local electrical codes and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects, contributing your expertise in schematics reading and blueprint interpretation.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and emergency repairs on electrical systems across multiple sites.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports, inspection logs, and compliance records.
Skills
- Extensive experience with industrial and commercial electrical systems installation and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams with precision.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards for safe electrical practices.
- Skilled in diagnosing electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Experience working with high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage wiring systems safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes.
- Ability to interpret construction blueprints and schematics accurately for installation or repair tasks.
- Knowledge of local electrical codes along with NEC guidelines to ensure code-compliant work.
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, power drills, frame carpentry tools, and handyman equipment for various tasks.
- Construction site experience including renovation projects that require adaptability across different environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to prevent hazards during all phases of work.
