Duties
- Lead the installation, configuration, and commissioning of audiovisual systems including video, sound reinforcement, digital signal processing equipment, and control systems.
- Interpret blueprints, and AV system diagrams to ensure precise installation and integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues related to audio, video, control systems, and computer hardware swiftly to minimize downtime.
- Program and operate audiovisual control systems for seamless user interfaces.
- Manage cabling, wiring, and mechanical assembly tasks with precision using hand tools while adhering to safety standards.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout project execution.
- Conduct routine maintenance, system upgrades, and troubleshooting on installed AV systems to ensure long-term performance reliability.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of low voltage wiring techniques.
- Proficiency in computer networking concepts essential for AV system connectivity and integration.
- Experience with control system programming specific to AV environments to customize user interfaces and automation workflows.
- Skilled in troubleshooting digital signal processing equipment, audio systems, video conferencing hardware, and software issues.
- Mechanical aptitude for cabling management, equipment mounting, and mechanical assembly tasks.
- 2+ years of field experience as an A/V Technician.
- Programming Expertise: Proven experience with Control4 and Lutron programming is required.
- Strong knowledge of residential systems, including lighting, climate control, security, CCTV, and network configuration.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and technical support.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Work Days: Monday - Friday, 8AM- 5PM
