- Assist with the setup and commissioning of rebar equipment — mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical/electronic systems — when a new job mobilizes.
- Perform preventive maintenance to schedule and help build and keep the PM schedule for each machine.
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns in the field and in the shop, working from manuals, schematics, and the Maintenance Manager's guidance.
- Support crew training on the safe, correct operation of each piece of equipment.
- Track spare parts and consumables inventory, and flag reorder points to Purchasing before a part runs out.
- Keep clean maintenance logs and service records for every machine.
- Help load, move, and re-commission equipment as it relocates between job sites.
- Travel to active job sites as needed — sometimes on short notice — to keep production running.
