We are a family-owned property management company serving a diverse portfolio of nearly 200 residential units across Ogden, Roy, Clearfield, and Salt Lake City. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team and help keep our properties well cared for with pride and professionalism.
Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing day-to-day maintenance requests across multiple residential properties. This includes troubleshooting repairs, completing work orders, assisting with unit turnovers, performing preventative maintenance, and communicating clearly with management regarding repairs and follow-up needs.
This is a mobile position with most of our portfolio located in the Ogden area, so candidates should be comfortable traveling between properties throughout the workday.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance work orders across multiple residential properties
- Diagnose and perform general repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliances
- Troubleshoot issues and determine whether repairs can be completed in-house or require additional support
- Assist with unit turnovers and make-ready work between residents
- Conduct preventative maintenance and property inspections as assigned
- Repair and maintain doors, locks, windows, cabinets, fixtures, and other property components
- Accurately update work orders with notes, photos, materials used, and completion details
- Communicate with management regarding needed parts, follow-up repairs, and larger maintenance concerns
- Communicate professionally with residents while completing occupied-unit work orders
- Assist other maintenance team members as needed
- Help ensure work orders and turnovers are completed on time and to quality standards
- Provide after-hours emergency maintenance support on a rotating basis, if required
Qualifications
- At least 1–2 years of residential, apartment, or property maintenance experience required
- Solid background in general property maintenance, including plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, carpentry, drywall, painting, appliances, and basic HVAC
- Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs independently
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple work orders and daily priorities
- Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
- Comfortable interacting professionally with residents
- Ability to use a smartphone for work orders, photos, communication, and scheduling
- At least 1 year of experience with AppFolio or a similar property management software preferred
- Reliable personal transportation and valid driver’s license required, as travel between properties is necessary
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work on ladders, and perform physical maintenance tasks as necessary
A company work truck may be available depending on assignment and availability, but applicants should currently have reliable transportation.
Compensation & Schedule
- $21–$24 per hour depending on experience
- Full-time position with consistent weekday scheduling
- Most work is located throughout the Ogden area
