Job Type: Full time; this position is a split shift
Pay: Starting at $26.71 per hour for straight truck; $27.21 per hour for tractor-trailer
Requirements:
- All applicants considered for hire must complete application, request for driver information, drug/alcohol policy acknowledgement, and Clearinghouse consent on company website.
- We require our drivers to have a Pennsylvania Class A CDL
- Class A drivers must be able to drive manual transmission vehicle- no "E" restriction
- Must have at least 1 year experience or certificate from a CDL training school.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Current PA DOT medical card
- Must register with The FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Must pass US Postal Service background check
Job Description:
- Drive straight truck in the morning from Scranton Post Office to various area post offices; then drive tractor-trailer in the afternoon from Scranton Post Office to various area post offices
- Visually inspect vehicle prior to each trip
- Back up to dock for loading/unloading
- Assist with loading/unloading
- All of our CDL drivers are assisted with 24/7 driver operations.
- Nicholas Trucking has an in-house maintenance and repair facility.
- Late model day cabs, and no camera pointing at you while you drive!
Schedule:
- Monday through Saturday
- Home daily
- Must be available weekends and holidays
- Year-round work
