Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Store Associate who will primarily work in our kitchen/food service area while also supporting overall store operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in food preparation and cleanliness, and delivers friendly, efficient customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Food Service & Kitchen (Primary Focus):
- Prepare, cook, and serve food and beverages in a timely and safe manner
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food service and beverage areas in compliance with health regulations
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures at all times
- Monitor food supplies, restock items, and assist with inventory control
- Ensure kitchen equipment and workstations are clean, safe, and functioning properly
Store & Customer Service Support:
- Provide fast, friendly, and professional customer service
- Operate the POS system and handle customer transactions accurately
- Assist customers with product questions and make recommendations
- Maintain assigned areas in stock and presentable, including coolers
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and inviting store appearance
- Assist with stocking, rotating merchandise, and inventory procedures
- Support cashiering, returns, and cross-selling as needed
- Adhere to tobacco and alcohol sales regulations
- Ensure pumps, equipment, signage, and facilities are clean and operational
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth store operations
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, retail, or customer service preferred
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and best practices
- Basic math skills and ability to operate a POS system
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Friendly, energetic, and dependable with a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent
