This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing company and become a key member of an HR team supporting more than 180 employees across cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and corporate operations.

What You'll Do
As our Human Resources Specialist, you'll play an important role in supporting employees throughout their entire employment journey—from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between.
Responsibilities include:
- Process and manage payroll using Gusto
- Audit timecards, attendance records, and payroll-related documentation
- Administer employee benefits, enrollments, changes, and employee support
- Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and employee status changes
- Maintain accurate personnel files and HR records
- Support compliance with California employment laws and company policies
- Conduct routine personnel file and HR record audits
- Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, policies, and HR procedures
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring activities
- Support employee relations matters and workplace investigations as needed
- Partner with managers to promote accountability, consistency, and compliance
- Assist with HR projects, process improvements, and organizational initiatives
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times

QualificationsRequired
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- 2+ years of Human Resources, Payroll, HR Administration, or related experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Preferred
- Experience with Gusto payroll and HR systems
- Experience administering employee benefits
- Working knowledge of California wage and hour laws
- Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, warehouse, distribution, food production, or cannabis environments
- Experience supporting employee relations matters and workplace investigations
