Informatics Technology Specialist
Position Summary
The Informatics Technology Specialist serves as the primary internal liaison between the organization and its managed IT service provider. This role is responsible for coordinating IT-related support, managing technology implementation projects, and spearheading system integrations, particularly during acquisitions and operational changes.
The position ensures that feedback and requirements from operations leadership are translated into actionable IT workstreams and executed effectively through the external IT vendor.
Core Responsibilities
IT Vendor Coordination
· Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams and the managed IT service provider.
· Translate operational needs and leadership feedback into clear IT requests and project requirements.
· Coordinate and prioritize IT support tickets, escalations, and service requests.
· Monitor vendor responsiveness and ensure timely completion of requests.
· Maintain visibility into ongoing IT issues, projects, and resolutions.
Technology Implementation & Project Management
· Lead coordination of IT-related projects from initiation through completion.
· Manage timelines, dependencies, and communication across internal stakeholders and the MSP.
· Oversee execution of system implementations, upgrades, and office technology changes.
· Coordinate testing, rollout, and go-live support activities.
Integration Support (Acquisitions & Growth)
· Spearhead IT integration efforts for newly acquired practices or entities.
· Coordinate system setup, user access provisioning with IT vendor and technology standardization.
· Support IT post-integration stabilization and issue resolution
Systems & Workflow Execution Support
· Work directly with leadership to gather IT-related requirements and translate them into actionable tasks for the MSP.
· Ensure alignment between operational workflows and implemented technology solutions.
· Coordinate troubleshooting and issue resolution through the vendor when applicable.
Training & Communication
· Assist with the coordination of end-user training related to new systems and technology rollouts.
· Communicate IT project updates, timelines, and changes to internal stakeholders.
· Support adoption of new systems and processes across the organization.
Qualifications
· 3–5 years of experience in IT coordination, project management, and/or vendor management.
· Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
· Healthcare experience preferred
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
