We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. Duties
- Maintain delivery vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance issues.
- The ability to assemble and setup furniture at customer homes or businesses.
- Safely operate a box truck or other delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Follow assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic regulations and safety guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization of products.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations is a plus.
- Valid commercial driving experience preferred, with familiarity in operating box trucks.
- Proven delivery driver experience with a track record of reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as required by the job.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is beneficial.
- Comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles when necessary.
- Knowledge of route driving techniques to optimize delivery efficiency.
