The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations, supervising clinical support staff, and ensuring efficient, compliant, and patient-centered care delivery within Adult Medicine. This role provides direct oversight of Medical Assistants and clinical support staff, supports provider operations, and ensures adherence to organizational policies, regulatory standards, and quality expectations.

Supervise clinical support staff, assign work, and coordinate scheduling to ensure efficient daily clinic operations.
Directly supervise Medical Assistants and Medical Office Assistants by providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.
Monitor staff attendance, address performance concerns, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and expectations.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and make hiring and disciplinary recommendations as appropriate.
Maintain clinical procedures and documentation standards and ensure accuracy in coding, billing, and medical records.
Investigate and address patient concerns and service issues in collaboration with providers and leadership.
Provide training, communication, and oversight to ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Support staff development, including clinical skills competency and ongoing training initiatives.
Train staff on Joint Commission standards and support regulatory readiness and compliance efforts.
Demonstrate understanding and implementation of Primary Care Medical Home (PCMH) principles and available organizational resources.
Coordinate with providers, patients, and external partners regarding referrals, authorizations, and continuity of care.
Participate in budgeting activities, support inventory oversight, and assist with facility and operational management.
Oversee special projects and ensure appropriate follow-up on patient care activities, including abnormal laboratory results.
Document patient interactions and provide clinical support and guidance as needed.
Submit required reports, attend meetings, and lead or facilitate monthly staff meetings.
Participate in organizational initiatives supporting operational performance, patient access, and quality outcomes.
Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational goals.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Additional experience in a physician office or healthcare setting beyond minimum requirements preferred.
Knowledge of Joint Commission regulations preferred.
Bilingual ability (Spanish, Nepali, or French preferred).
Strong knowledge of clinical operations, workflows, and medical office procedures.
Understanding of healthcare regulations, including Joint Commission standards.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage staff performance and accountability.
Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, providers, and leadership.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to manage conflict and foster collaboration.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple operational demands in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in documentation, billing, and compliance processes.
Ability to analyze operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
Proficiency in computer systems, including electronic health records and data entry systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
Ability to lead by example and demonstrate professionalism in behavior, communication, and appearance.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments to support patient care and operational goals.
