Digital Content Manager
Location: White City, OR : On-site
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $80,000–$100,000 DOE
About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced people manager to lead two small content teams — our YouTube content team and our Website Content team.
This role is first and foremost about managing people, not producing content yourself. We need someone who has spent years leading people, who genuinely enjoys the work of managing (coaching, unblocking, holding people accountable to deadlines, developing someone early in their career), and who is excited to grow into the content side of the business over time.
You do not need to already be an expert in video production, web content, or digital marketing. We're glad to teach the content and AI-tooling side to the right manager. What we can't teach is a track record of managing people well — that's the core qualification for this job.
What You'll Oversee:
YouTube Team
- Manage workflow and keep the team on track to hit the weekly upload deadline
- Partner with upper management on content strategy and new video opportunities
- Will help hire an additional video editor as the team grows
Website Content Team
- Oversee writing and updating of product descriptions
- Ensure website information stays accurate and current
- Oversee product photography workflow
- Oversee product listings on Amazon marketplace
Potential Future Scope: Social Media
- Possible oversight of a social media role responsible for reading and responding to
customer comments and flagging feedback to relevant internal departments
What You'll Actually Be Doing Day to Day
- Running regular 1:1s and team check-ins — coaching, unblocking, and holding people accountable
- Keeping both teams on schedule, especially the weekly YouTube upload deadline
- Developing team members, including someone newer to the role, with a real plan for their growth
- Reviewing team output for quality and consistency
- Reporting to and aligning closely with the CMO on team performance and content direction
- Leading hiring decisions as the teams grow
- Over time, building your own knowledge of content strategy, video production basics, digital marketing, and AI content tools — with support from us
Required:
- 5+ years of hands-on people management experience — directly managing a team's day-to-day work, performance, and development (not managing a project, a client account, or freelancers/vendors)
- A genuine passion for managing people — this should be the part of the job you like best, not a side effect of being good at the work itself
- Proven ability to hold a team accountable to recurring deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate people across different roles
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Medford, OR, Monday through Friday
- Curiosity and openness to learning digital content, video production basics, and AI tools on the job
Nice to Have:
- Experience creating or overseeing video, web, or marketing content
- Familiarity with AI tools used in content production or marketing
- Experience with social media management or customer engagement
- Background in e-commerce, retail, or consumer products
Why This Role:
This is a great opportunity for a proven people manager who wants to move into a company with real ownership — both over a team and, over time, over content strategy. You'll have a direct line to the CMO and room to grow this role as the teams expand.
