Duration & Type: 5 months Contract with a major pharmaceutical industry client
Location: Louisville, KY
Responsibilities:
- Support Distribution Head and Distribution Manager at US 3PL facility and administers an effective system that meets the organization’s inventory control needs through efficient transportation of finished goods.
- Responsible for gathering, analyzing and managing data of third party logistics service providers as is required to support business objectives.
- Support product distribution which contributes to the achievement of best in class designation for company distribution and logistics.
- Responsible for analyzing and understanding distribution and supply chain, customer operations and allocation requirements for all customer accounts to achieve defined goals and objectives, and promoting mutually beneficial business relationships while adhering to company’s core values.
- Work cross-functionally with their assigned third party logistics provider as well as internally with Commercial and Manufacturing functions to implement and execute specific customer support strategies and tactics in distribution management.
Required:
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree, with emphasis in Business Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management or related field. Associate degree with prior experience is acceptable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in SAP sales order management processes
- Ability to lead and be decisive
- Strong customer facing communication skills.
- Understanding of Seqirus distribution strategy and develop model to support
- Ability to address contract performance issues with third party logistics providers
- Ability to understand customer issues and respond in a timely manner
- Ability to understand crediting/debiting with customer orders
- Ability to understand decisions around product replacement
