Overview
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Maintenance Technician, where your expertise keeps our property running smoothly, our pool clean and ensures an exceptional guest experience. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of hotel facilities and equipment (washers, dryers, pool, PTAC units, treadmills, and more). Your proactive approach and technical skills will help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all guests and staff. Responsibilities
- Hours are Monday - Friday 8am-4pm, unless of an emergency or business needs.
- Respond promptly to guest requests related to facilities issues with professionalism and excellent customer service skills.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC (PTAC) systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools; repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical equipment as needed.
- Residential painting, plumbing system maintenance, and repairs to uphold the property’s safety standards and aesthetic appeal.
- Maintain facilities by supervising maintenance tasks such as Pool Cleaning (seasonal), HVAC system repair, electrical troubleshooting, plumbing repairs, and general building upkeep.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Quore) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory of maintenance supplies.
- Assist contractors during major repairs or renovations while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance across hotel environments.
- Proficiency in electrical systems repair including schematics interpretation and troubleshooting with tools like ohmmeters.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, plumbing maintenance, welding techniques, and residential painting.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment repair, schematics reading, and Quore software.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and external contractors clearly.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures related to supplies management and safety standards in facilities maintenance.
