About Dismas Home of New Hampshire
Dismas Home of New Hampshire is a 501(c)(3) residential treatment and reentry program that provides justice-involved women, including women veterans, with substance use disorders a safe, home-like environment to heal, recover, and rebuild their lives. As New Hampshire’s only two-phase recovery and transition home dedicated exclusively to this population, Dismas Home combines evidence-based clinical treatment, trauma-informed care, and robust life-skills and workforce preparation so that residents can regain stability, secure employment and housing, and successfully reintegrate into their communities.
Position Summary
The Gift Entry Processor is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of charitable contributions to ensure donor records are complete, gifts are properly acknowledged, and financial records remain accurate. This position plays a critical role in supporting the organization's fundraising efforts by maintaining the integrity of donor data and ensuring excellent stewardship of donor information.
Essential Responsibilities
- Accurately enter all charitable gifts into the donor database, including cash, checks, credit card, ACH, stock, online, and in-kind donations.
- Prepare gift reports and supporting documentation for Finance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records.
- Perform routine data audits to ensure database accuracy and consistency.
- Generate gift acknowledgments and tax receipts in accordance with organizational policies.
- Assist with mail preparation, donor appeals, and fundraising projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Philanthropy department.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- One to three years of data entry, accounting, nonprofit administration, or fundraising support experience preferred.
- Experience with donor database software such as Arreva, Raiser’s Edge NXT, or similar CRM preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive donor information with discretion.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Occasional filing and handling of mail and donation materials.
