Pond & Water Feature Construction Technician | Oklahoma Ponds (Edmond, OK)
BUILD SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL.
1120 S Broadway, Edmond, OK
A short description of why you're a great fit for this position and what's most interesting to you about it is required to be considered.
We're growing again, and we're looking for our next long term team member. Someone we can all grow with. This is a full time, year round position building the best koi ponds, waterfalls, and water features in the OKC metro. Our family has been doing this since one of the first pond stores in Oklahoma opened in 1989, and we take real pride in the work that leaves our hands.
This is a hands-on construction role. You'll learn to build koi ponds, pondless waterfalls, streams, and water features from the ground up, with one on one training every step of the way.
About the Role
Our construction crew is a tight-knit team where everyone shares in the work and everyone counts on each other. That said, this position starts at the ground floor and works its way up through experience. In the beginning, that means you'll be the one operating skid steers and wheelbarrows, moving material, and keeping the site running while you learn to set rock and install components.
Once you're trained, the work grows to include:
- Excavation and site prep
- Moving and staging boulders, rock, gravel, and materials
- Setting rock and building waterfalls and streams
- Liner work, plumbing, and pump and filtration systems
- Wiring and lighting
- Keeping a clean, safe, organized jobsite
- Loading, securing, and safely hauling equipment and materials to and from job sites
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who:
- Is dependable and does what they say they'll do (accountability is everything here)
- Takes ownership of their work and takes pride in how the finished product looks
- Is a problem solver who can think on their feet when a jobsite throws a curveball
- Wants to truly master a trade and grow with a company, not just collect a paycheck
- Can lift 80 to 100 lbs and isn't afraid to get dirty
- Thrives working outdoors year round, in the heat, rain, or cold
- Has a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Understands safe driving and safe equipment and material hauling
- Is available Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM (typical day is 8 to 10 hours)
- Has a basic understanding of hand tools
- Can pass a background check (no felonies)
If you've spent real time on outdoor living, hardscape, or landscape crews, that experience is highly valued here. And if you've been the person a crew counts on to get it right, the one others look to when it matters, this is your kind of role.
What We Offer
- $19 to $22 per hour to start
- Full time, year round, W-2 employment
- One on one training with a Master Certified team
- End of season bonus
- Real craftsmanship on high-end projects, and a company that promotes from within as you prove yourself
- Health insurance
- A fun, tight-knit crew who works hard and cares about quality
